Most Buyers and Sellers are sitting on the middle of the wall of Integrity. A simple push can fall them down on the other side to plan unethical benefits.
The Sellers are spending maximum time & money to draft contract and Buyer’s board rooms encourages for undisclosed collaboration with competitors to bid with common understanding under so called “Strategic Procurement”.
TRUST or lack of it is the root for success or failure of auctions. One has to understand (especially Public Sector Organizations) and do good home work on Cost Plus Economics and Demand Supply Analysis and offer fair opportunities for a win-win scenario.
For marginal gap in the analysis, it is a better option to negotiate the contract across the table mutually, otherwise buyers will intelligently negotiate prices out of the auction room and will defeat the spirit of auction at H1 prices.
