Workplace Wishes
In my opinion, the number one success factor at workplace is “TRUST” to make a difference and compelling determination is to achieve integrity & commitment from the team members, especially from the Business Associates.
I personally feel “Seeing Is Believing” is the best approach to address challenges, which gives us courage and encouragement under pressing circumstances. The fact remains that most even do not try and run away from the problems. Therefore, to get along with people first step is to Decentralise Delegations. The bureaucratic process has all possibilities to lose the confidence of loyal professionals and they may refrain themselves to think out of box in the overall interest of the organisation.
The next step is to empower the team members with appropriate value limits to initiate improvement projects of their own choice. And unit should celebrate both success and failure of the projects, as good gesture of the team’s high moral and self actualisation. The words of appreciation will always works as a reward of courage, encouragement and support to make many more attempts.
Another step to be taken for Post Audits mechanism in the organisation, which is primarily to identify opportunities for improvement (OFI) for system improvement, as a health checkup of the organisation. Unfortunately, most audits are focused and directed to pinpoint individual’s integrity. It seems easiest approach for auditor to put question marks on the authorities. But the fact remains that most decisions taken today based on prevailing and dynamic circumstances, which may economically not feasible for tomorrow. This doesn’t mean that yesterday decision taken on was wrong.
Therefore, Business HR has to plays a very critical and major role in formulating the guidelines & procedures duly empower special authorities with the pre-audit systems so as to all doubts will be cleared before taking final decision for implementation. I firmly believe that all team members will spontaneously justify their proposed attempt is in the overall interest of the organisation.
This should be borne in mind that Business Partners / Associates are face of the organisation and they interact with the more number of people within and outside the organisation. They set the tone for employees’ morale. Therefore, at times post Audits in the organisation will jeopardize the relationship and work as disincentive for employees.
I wish these small small reforms could work as incentives for employees who possess more interpersonal skills and confidence to make a differences in the field and provide multi-fold business avenues with passion & commitment to serve the society at large for unconditional returns.
